1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CVpilot (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CVpilot. CVpilot reserves the right to update these Terms at any time, and continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

CVpilot is an AI-powered resume evaluation platform that analyzes uploaded resumes and provides feedback, scoring, and suggestions to help job seekers improve their application materials. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use by individual job seekers.

3. Eligibility

To use CVpilot, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

4. User Accounts

Certain features of CVpilot may require you to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with third parties
• Notify CVpilot immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

CVpilot is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use CVpilot only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Upload resumes or materials belonging to other individuals without their consent
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate the AI models or algorithms used by the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation

6. AI-Generated Feedback & Limitations

CVpilot uses artificial intelligence to evaluate resumes and generate feedback. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated feedback is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional career advice
• The accuracy and completeness of AI-generated evaluations cannot be guaranteed
• CVpilot’s AI may not account for industry-specific norms, regional hiring practices, or individual circumstances
• You should use the feedback as one of several inputs in your job search process, not as the sole basis for career decisions
• CVpilot is not responsible for any hiring outcomes, employment decisions, or results arising from use of the Service

7. Privacy & Your Data

Your use of CVpilot is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy. In particular:

• Resume content you upload will be processed by our AI systems to generate feedback
• We will not sell your personal data or resume content to third parties
• You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us

You retain ownership of any resume or content you upload. By uploading content, you grant CVpilot a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

All content, features, and functionality of CVpilot — including but not limited to software, AI models, design, text, graphics, and logos — are the exclusive property of CVpilot and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without prior written consent from CVpilot.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CVpilot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if CVpilot has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall CVpilot’s total liability exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for access to the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CVpilot and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

CVpilot reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, CVpilot, or third parties. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14. Changes to These Terms

CVpilot may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, notify you via email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
